1. Table Runner Runway

Dream Together Set

Anything’s possible as children and adults play together as creative partners.

Start:

• Reach for a doll, teddy, or soft toy to become your model. 

• Search for unusual materials that could become part of an outfit, fit for a runway. The more unexpected, the better. 

• Could a toilet roll holder become a dress? 

• Find a table runner, tea towel, or blanket and place down the middle of a table. 

• Start assembling your runway look. 

Play

• Walk your model onto your runway and introduce it. 

• Have your model do their runway walk. 

• Keep taking turns, trying out new and more outlandish looks. 

Try

• Adding runway music.

• Narration, or commentary from the audience.

• Themes. For example: the sea, space, the future. 

Think

• What surprised you?

• What will you try next time?
